Free photography course
Came across this video today and I enjoyed Karl Taylor's teaching style. Did a bit of digging around and found that they offer a free photography course on their website. All you have to do is sign up here, and they will e-mail you links to 14 video and pdf lessons. Of course they sell a lot more videos on their site but there's a lot of good stuff to get started on for free...

Speedlight Tutorials
On the Nikon USA website, I found 3 brilliant videos on shooting with Speedlights (Strobist Style). The videos are by David Tejada. He reminded me a lot of Joe McNally. Same style photos and techniques.
At the same time, take a look around the Nikon USA website. They have a learn and explore section which is packed with great resources.
Instagram in Photoshop
With all the buzz around Instagram lately, you might want to try recreate those filter looks on your computer...
Take a look at this Photoshop plugin called Perfect Effects 3. They give you a good selection of filters for free. They also offer a couple of other free plugins worth taking a look at.
